On the nose, our 2016 Dry Creek Valley Merlot offers aromas of brown spice, cherry liquor, dark chocolate, and hints of bramble berries. The palate presents baking spices, like nutmeg and cinnamon, vanilla and dusted cocoa. This slightly caramelized tasting wine leaves you with a lifted and even finish on the tongue. Our 2016 Merlot is approachable and very enjoyable now, but will soften with age. Best paired with homemade hamburger, barbeque portobello mushroom with a balsamic drizzle, or a dark chocolate and blackberry dessert.
